Jira Power Apps Connector – Current Issues in "Create Issue"

Observed Error

When attempting to use the Jira Connector within Power Apps, the system returns the following message:

“Unable to get Server info – Response Status code 404”

This error occurs during the connector’s attempt to retrieve basic information from the Jira Cloud instance.

Power Automate: The connector works as expected, with all tested actions completing successfully.
Power Apps: Fails consistently with the 404 Server Info error. This platform‑specific behavior strongly suggests an issue on the Power Apps connector implementation rather than on the Jira side.

Troubleshooting Steps Already Performed

The following attempts did not resolve the issue:

  • Testing different URL formats (with/without https, trailing slashes, manual entry)

  • Recreating the connection

  • Testing with the V2 and V3 connector actions (non-deprecated versions)

Likely Root Cause

Based on the evidence, the issue appears to be a bug in the official Microsoft Power Apps Jira Connector implementation:

  • Power Automate uses the same connector configuration and works correctly.

  • Only Power Apps triggers the “Server info 404” error.

We are based in westeurope, and using Confluence Cloud.

Do others have the same problem? What was your solution? Does the connector work for you? When could this be fixed?

Known Issue with the Jira Connector in Power Apps, primarily affecting users in West Europe using Jira Cloud.

    There have been reports where:
    • Jira connector works in Power Automate
    • Fails in Power Apps connection validation
    Common causes:
    • Connector expecting a different base URL
    • Atlassian Cloud API changes
    • Connector metadata validation bug
This is not uncommon with connectors maintained by Microsoft for third-party APIs.

    Recommended Workaround (Most Reliable)

Instead of the standard connector, many architects use custom API calls.
    • Use HTTP through Power Automate and call Jira REST API directly.

Thank you for choosing Microsoft Community,

Power Apps Jira connector fails with “Server info 404” because it still calls the deprecated /serverInfo endpoint, which Jira Cloud doesn’t support. This is a connector regression affecting Power Apps only. This issue affects multiple Cloud tenants and regions.

Workarounds: Power Automate works as it doesn’t rely on this check. Call Jira via Power Automate flows or use a custom connector

I hope this helps resolve the issue! If you need more specific guidance, feel free to ask.
