Using a new collection with a gallery

Hi,

I'm unable to use a new collection as the data source on a gallery (100% certain the collection is there and populated).

A few searches suggests turning off the New Analysis Engine. But in doing that I get into a loop of having to turn off other things like Modern Controls and Proactive Control Rename.

I don't want to turn these off so it seems odd there is no other choice! Does anyone have an idea or workaround?

When you say you can't use a collection in a gallery, do you mean that when you set the items property of the gallery to the collection no fields show up?  That is the expected behavior with collections in galleries.  You have to build out the template manually with controls.

If that's not the problem please describe in more detail the issue you are having.

@Pstork1I have a button that creates a collection, colFilteredRisk, but the "In your app" doesn't show any of my recent collections as a data source. The one available is very old but used.

I've tried manually adding the collection name in Items but the fields don't show through.

@NH-24041710-0 If the collection is created at runtime by a button then you won't see it in the Data Sources.  run the app once, create the collection, and then you should be able to use it in the Items property of the gallery.

@NH-24041710-0 you can see which collections are in your app and view the data in them as shown in the image below:
