Hi Experts ,

Today I'm seeing "Failed to assume control of Microsoft Edge (Internal error or communication failure)." error message not sure what's wrong with PAD extension.. I followed instruction as said : Using browsers and managing extensions - Power Automate | Microsoft Docs .  Do you have any suggestions for me ?

Thanks

S.P

Sometimes it takes time for Chrome to respond if you clear cache or cookies. Use the error control in the action to retry 5 times at 5 secs interval.

This did not work. Also OP is referring to an Edge connection not Chrome. I am having the same issue, my automation works fine in chrome but not when I try to run in edge.

    Hi,
I had the same issue and there are two workarouds that I have found already:
    1. in error handling -> repeat the action 2-5 times with delay 5

    2. in error handling -> Continue flow -> repeat action

It works in Chrome and Edge

    Hope that would help

I was getting this when first opening Edge to a specific URL as defined by a variable. My workaround, since I may need to re-use the variable elsewhere, is to open Edge to a URL such as www.google.com then add an action to navigate to the page by variable.

In case this helps anyone, I was getting this behavior today when trying to automate Edge and found that I did not have the Microsoft Power Automate extension installed in Edge.

Once I installed the add-in, my flow began to proceed forward.
