Adding to Variable (Number) Value

Hello,

I imagine that I've missed something incredibly basic, despite me reading the official guide that MS has on this, to no avail...

All I'm trying to do is add (or multiply) the value of a variable by a specific number/amount. I've tried:

%Variable1 * 1.2%

%Variable 1 + 50%

Neither of these work, please can someone be so kind to point out what silly mistake I've made?

Thanks,

B

No, that seems to be right.  Check your original variable and make sure it is a number and not text.  If it is text, first use "convert text to number."

    Hi @MichaelAnnis ,

Thanks for your swift response. I've unfortunately already converted this from text to number in the prior step, so am also baffled as to why this wont work for me...

    Regards,

    Billy

Can you show me one of the Set Variable screens:

And then, after you attempt to run the flow, show me %Variable1% by finding it in flow variables on the right, hover your mouse over it, left click the 3 dots and go to View:

I am sure you have been reading on using these arithmetic operations with variables in PAD.

Could you share what's happening in the Flow and what issue/error you are facing?
