Removing "Common Data Service User" permissions to a sensitive Dataverse Table

Has anyone figured out how to remove the "Common Data Service User" security role from a table?

It appears all users are members of the "Common Data Service User" role and i have tables in dataverse with sensitive data in i do not want users stumbling upon.

The options to change the permissions appear to not be editable ?

    Hi @AdsyD86

This role has been changed to the Basic User Role according to the official Microsoft documentation

Common Data Service User security role renamed to Basic User - Power Platform Release Plan | Microsoft Learn

This security role cannot be edited because it comes by default in the environments in which you work.

As a best practice, it is always recommended if I need to customize a role, it is to duplicate the Role and modify the new role that I have created according to the needs I have, and I will be able to edit that new role.

I recommend that you copy the Common Data Services User role, and from the role you have copied you can add or remove access to the tables depending on the business requirement

    Hey @Jmanriquerios

So if i was to copy the "Common Data Services User" role in to a new role and call is "Basic User" and remove access in the "Basic User" role to the tables i didnt want them to access. Would the deny in the "Basic User" role over rule the Allow in the "Common Data Service User" role?

Because it seems any new user created automatically gets added to the "Common Data Service User" role.

    Thanks

    Hi @AdsyD86

When you copy the role you are copying all the permissions at the table level, so you must do the following procedure.

Firstly, once copied, customize the new role if necessary, then you must remove the Common Data Services User role from all users and only leave them assigned the new role
