How to identify Azure Region mapped to Prod Power Apps Environment

We need to determine the exact Azure region associated with the deployed Production Power Apps environment. While the Power Platform Admin Center currently displays the region as US, this is a broad designation. We need to identify the specific Azure region mapped to the environment, as related Azure resources needs to be deployed in the same region to minimize latency and ensure optimal performance.

    Hi  @dibhalla,

A very interesting question. Your Power Apps environment (likely) has Dataverse enabled, and the Dataverse location will be SAME as the Power Platform environment’s geographic region, according to How to: know the actual location of your Dataverse environment - DEV Community

These "environment region" definition not match the list of available regions where Azure resources can be created. The Dataverse region list seems to be an aggregation of Azure regions:

    Dataverse vs Azure region

So, the Dataverse region is an aggregated geography made up of multiple Azure regions, and Power Platform environment regions represent these geographies, but not the underlying Azure regions.

     Hope this helps.

    Hi,

In addition to the reply from Ellis, you can use the action Retrieve a list of environments (preview) from the Power Platform for Admins V2 connector. You can get the Azure region and Geo per environment listed.
