Filtering and using group by in views

I am trying to create a view where I group by a unique identifier and filter by the max date for each unique id. Can I do this by using the sort and filter functions in dataverse view? If not, is there another way that I can do this?

Hi

You cannot do the group by in Model Driven when you are building the system view, but you can do it as a user of the application. Now you can use the modern Power Apps control that gives you aggregation.

What you would have to do first is create the system view with the filters you have. Then in the Model Driven do the grouping

In the view designer you can only sort and filter not group

Important, it is not a limitation of Dataverse, only of Model Driven
If you are using Canvas Apps you will be able to do everything even if you are using canvas, you will be able to use GroupBy, Filter, Sort

Group by is not part of view but MS mentioned it can be available in Wave 2 2024 release. So you can wait or second option is, you can create a report.
