Access E-Mails Error: Folder could not be found

Hi community,

I want to build a connection to the folder "Posteingang" (English: Inbox) in my Outlook-Account in order to save the mail attachments to a folder onmy desktop. Unfortunately, the following error appears after executing the flow:

"The requested folder could not be found"

The folder "inbox" is a subfolder of the folder "favorites". I don´t know how I type in the correct folderstructure in power automate. Maybe that´s the issue here.

Can you help me out?

Thanks,

Hannes

Are you triggering the flow off of the arrival of an email, for example, “When a new email arrives (V3)” for O365, or “When a new email arrives (V2)” for Outlook.com?

You select the target folder using the folder icon inside the action, but it should default to Inbox, which is the root of your mailbox.

    Thanks for your reply!

I am connecting to Outlook 365. The flow seems to work in the beginning and interrupts later resulting in the error.

Can you share any more information such as the error message and what you are doing in the action that throws the error?

    That´s the full error notice:

Can you share a screenshot of the flow action associated with the error?

In a Cloud Flow, you click the folder icon, then choose the subfolder:

In a Desktop Flow, you just type Inbox for the Mail Folder field:

Unfortunately in German, it´s the same flow you posted the screenshot of.

That is a different action than what I used. I can not get the Retrieve Email Messages action to work because of two-factor authentication, so I use the Outlook actions instead. Try this flow:

    • Launch Outlook (no configuration needed)

    • Retrieve Email Messages From Outlook (configure this as needed)
