Hi All, I have a Power Platform environment and an Azure service principal. I need to grant the following permissions to the service principal and would appreciate your guidance on how to do this.

Dataverse API: Read, Create, and Update permissions for Project, Risk, Issue, Task, and Program
Dataverse API: Read permission for User
Scheduling API

Hi,

I would start with:

1. Adding Service Principal to environment. You can go to this:

https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/manage/environments/{your_environment_id}/appusers (remember to put correct env id)

2. Create custom Security Role that will have mentioned permissions:
Create, and Update permissions for Project, Risk, Issue, Task, and Program

Read permission for User

3. Assign security role to App user in your environment (step 1)

4. Scheduling API - how to get started: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/field-service/rso-overview

5. And the Power Automate / Flow. You can use there Service Principal - and SP can also be the owner of the flow. So it's easy to setup. Just have in mind, that using Service Principal would need Power Automate Process license.
