We are having some issues with our chat created in Copilot Studio. It's seems that for the first time when a user ask a question the "Conversational boosting "is not trigered.
Anyone else is having this issue?
Later EDIT !!!
Now i am having a double response to the same question.
Great! Now we identified the root cause of the issue is because of the Conversational Boosting topic.
If you find that other topics are triggering alongside Conversational Boosting, it may be necessary to refine the topics or reduce their scope. Ensure that your conversational topics have clear and distinct trigger phrases, minimizing the overlap.
To make Conversational Boosting the first response, you will need to adjust the conditions or priority of the triggers. Typically, Copilot Studio is set up to fallback to boosting when a specific topic isn’t recognized, but you can configure the boosting responses to have priority over generative responses for unknown intents.
Disable the fallback for specific queries, so only boosting is triggered when an unknown intent is detected. Set Conversational Boosting as the primary fallback, so that when the Copilot doesn't understand the user's input, boosting is used rather than generative AI.
Chat build in Copilot Studio gives double response to the same question
Hi,
After some debug it's the 3rd option.: conversational Boosting options.
From what i understand the copilot first uses generative ai and then the conversational boosting is trigered on unknown intent. Is there a way to make conversational boosting the only topic that gives the answer? Or maybe make it with prio 1 ?
Not sure how to change the configuration to do that but we have other topis trigered when conversational boosting is trigered and this gives us some bugs in our answers.
For the below issue, again i would say to check on each topics carefully.
Check your topic triggers and make sure they are distinct. If you’re using similar trigger phrases across topics, consider refining them to prevent unintended activation of more than one topic.
Check the topic flow in Copilot Studio to ensure that the generative nodes are not being called twice or from multiple branches of the same topic.
If Conversational Boosting is enabled, it might inadvertently cause a second response by amplifying the original response. Temporarily disable Conversational Boosting to see if that resolves the issue. If it does, you might need to adjust the settings or phrases used in the boosting feature.
Please check the question that you are asking. The Conversational Boosting Topic will be triggered when the Intent is unknown. Sometimes, the language model may fail to recognize or misinterpret the query, especially if it’s vague or requires more context.
In this case, Copilot is unable to select the relevant topics that you configured.
Ensure that the topics, intents, or scenarios in your Copilot are well-defined and can capture the user's intent right from the start.
If your Copilot relies on external knowledge sources (e.g., Dataverse, SharePoint, etc.), it may take longer to fetch or access the relevant data, which can lead to a delay in triggering conversational boosting.
