Microsoft Flow - Premium - Per User Pricing

I've noticed that many of the new connectors are limited to "Premium" licenses. Does this mean that a company must buy a premium license for EVERY USER or that only the person creating the flows needs the premium license?

My company has, I'm just guessing here, at least 20,000 users and there is NO WAY they'll pay $5 per user extra/month for the limited number of people who actually use Flow. Would be a shame if that is the case here.

Thank you.

    Hi @CP153319 ,

Basically, only users who have been assigned a Flow plan1/plan2 license can use the Premium connectors when configuring the Flow.

But you don't have to buy such a license for all users.

You could check how many Flow plan1/plan2 licenses in your subscription can be assigned and then allocate them reasonably.

    https://admin.microsoft.com/AdminPortal/Home

According to the user's needs, the license is allocated. Some users can use MS Flow Free to meet the demand. Try to allocate Flow plan1/plan2 to users who use Flow frequently.

In addition, if there is a role like Flow admin, they can create a Flow for users with only MS Flow Free license, so that resources can be used reasonably.

    Hope it helps.

    Best Regards,

Still not absolutely clear.  If I want to use the Word premium connector to merge documents.  My Company has E3 for most staff and F1 for some.  If I have  a premium license to use this connector,  does everyone else need it when their actions run the flow?

    Hello,

I have the same question. For example, if I set up a flow to populate a Word document, I will use the Word Premium Connector. So I need the premium connector.

But does it means that the person who triggers the flow needs to have the premium licence too ?

    Thanks for your help 😊

If you create the Flow and it is triggered by a method that is not the user,  you only need a premium account for the person creating that flow.  Example.  I have a number of flows that are triggered when a row is added or modified in a SharePoint list.  These flows create a Word Merge and PDF.  I am the only one who needs to have a premium license.  The actual person that needed the document simply made a change or added the record to the SP list.

If the flow is directly triggered by the User - Example using PowerApps then every user that uses the Power App need a Premium license for PowerApps and flow
