Populate a text field using a drop-down field (CCH AXCESS)

I am creating a flow to update many projects, I have tried to use the recorder but it doesn't recognize my drop down box, it see it as a combo box and I can never get the drop down to show and select the item.  How do you script the dropdown to populate a text box?

    Use select dropdown activity then select by name then try

    or 

    populate text field activity then enter the text you need to select and then press enter
