E5 Licence triggers you require a PowerApps Plan

Hello!

Sadly like 20-30% of Users can not use PowerApps currently, as it continuously shows the error "You require a PowerApps-Plan". This is quite frustrating as everyone has the E5 Licence and the apps should work (which they did for months just fine)
Now suddenly they stopped working. This issue has happenend already twice in 2025 and honestly this is a very bad look for PowerApps. The reliability is so low, i am wondering why we shouldnt just host our own enviroment.

The Apps are canvas apps which just use basic connectors and the licence shows as "standard"; furthermore it works for most users like myself.

Please tell me

1) how to solve this issue.

2) how to stop it from happening in the future.

Do the users also have a power apps trial licence assigned? If they do, then maybe this has expired its overriding the E5 entitlement. Perhaps try removing any trial licences and then asking the users to retry.

Hi @MH-24030656-0,

Firstly @Bezanca is possibly on the right track regarding expiring Trial licences, however E5 licences do not allow access to Premium Connectors - you need a Per User or Per App plan to do this.
