PowerApps Premium License vs PowerAutomate Premium License | Application Requirements for SQL Connection

Hi Everyone

I am building a PowerApp Application that would connect to a SQL on Premise through the PowerBi Gateway using PowerAutomate.

My Question: do I need a PowerApps per user plan for each user if I create all the flows to fetch and return the data and crud opperations through flow.

The flow will sit on a account with a PowerAutomate per user plan and the PowerApp will trigger the flows through buttons.

The company has everyone on Business Standard and the powerapp will trigger the flows, not the users, so no additional licensing required except for the premium SQL connection on the flows right?

Any advice would be appreciated

thank you in advance

Here's the thing I notice so far. I have two different accounts (1 Business Basic and 1 Business Premium)

Both accounts were entitled to Premium Connectors to SQL via Automate. Thus I can run SQL queries by just using Automate.

However, not the case for PowerApps. For PowerApps, you can create it with premium features but users will not be able to use it without any additional license.

So in summary, as long as PowerApps don't talk directly with SQL like reading data, then your current license is all good.

    Hi @cha_cha

Thank you for the response, I will test it out with no premium Powerapps licenses.
