My MCP server has about 76 skills. I am able to load all the skills in Claude Desktop and work with the tools. But when I connect to the same MCP server to Microsoft Copilot Studio through a Customer Connector, I am not able to get a listing of all the tools, but only some are listed in the agent builder flow with this error. I get the error "LimitToolsLimiting number of tools to 15". Is there a plan to fix this? Also, is there a way to select a list of tool from an integrated MCP server to be associated with an Agent? Right now, it looks like either you make all tools in an MCP server available to an Agent or no tools at all. It would be great if we can connect to an MCP, see the list of all tools available and pick and choose which tools can be associated with an agent. Please suggest if this capability already exists in some other form.

Unfortunately, I am not sure which limitation you are hitting right now. There are ones across MCP, across the platform you name it, as things are still in flux.

Can I ask, if you were to try to connect to your MCP via say Visual Studio Code or Visual Studio XXX does it show you everything? Some things are limited to 40 some are 128, you name it its probably out there limiting.

You may need to go directly to MS with this question to get clearer answers.

I am in Microsoft Copilot Studio, creating an agent. The error comes under the agent creation flow, under tools tab.

Yeah, its definitely a limit there, but I am wondering if you specifically try to look at your MCP from Visual Studio, do you only see 15 or if you see all 76 (which is what I expect, unless there is something else happening).

I want you to check there so I can better help see what we are hitting.

I am not using Visual Studio but directly developing in Microsoft Copilot Studio Web UI. Are you referring to this https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/authoring-edit-with-copilot-studio-extension ? If so, do you recommend moving to this instead for a better agent developer experience? I thought this VS Code extension provided only syntactical help with the YAML files. Didn't think, it would help me work with the MCPs locally. Thanks for your help so far!
