Question of Power Automate Desktop

Hi experts,

One of the customers is trying to implement Power Automate desktop flows in a large bank.

Questions they asked are as follows:

Question 1: In Power Automate Desktop flows, multiple developers can work on several subflows?

Question 2: They have multiple clouds and associated desktop flows for a specific business process in this bank. Each cloud flow and desktop flow is shown separately.
Is It possible to show both cloud flows and desktop flows in one?

Question 3: What are the options for logging when it comes to PAD? As there are many banking processes and bank wants to have their own custom logging. Can this be achieved and what will be the approaches you could recommend?

Question 4: Do we have any reusable PAD flow (like we have cloud flow as parent and child flows ) or in the roadmap?

Any reference link would be highly appreciated.

    1) Assuming each developer has a Power Automate with RPA license then you can share the desktop flow with other developers as co-owner. That will give them the ability to edit the flow and subflows.  Manage desktop flows - Power Automate | Microsoft Learn

    2) I don't know of any way to group cloud flows and their associated desktop flows together.

    3) You can Monitor Desktop flow runs in the Power Automate Website. Monitor desktop flow runs - Power Automate | Microsoft Learn The COE admin center can be used to aggregate and log this information.

    4) There aren't any templates like there are for Power Automate. But there are Examples available in a number of categories. Like Templates these provide ideas and examples of how to do things. But Desktop automation is more dependent on the desktop being used then API automation. So reusable templates are difficult to produce.  You can find the Examples in the PAD application itself.

    Hi @aaroh_bits

I will try my best to answer the questions

    1. did you meant whether the developer can work on specific subflows on a desktop flow at same  time ?

    2. To view all desktop , cloud flows together, i think solution can be used to group them under a business process

    3.  You can create custom logging via PAD, like if you want to have a text file having timestamp details of each event occured. For that i would recommend is create a desktop flow for logging purposes where it would take timestamp , event details as input and enter into notepad. for running the desktop use run desktop flow action in PAD.

    4. Sorry i did not get your question , could you explain it better?

Thanks for replying to my query @Nived_Nambiar

For Question 4: We have some template reusable templates as shared in this article for Power Automate.
I am looking for a similar concept within PAD. I hope I understand this query a bit better.

@aaroh_bits - Reusable templates would be a challenge but you just create some documentation and copy paste the actions in Power Automate Desktop Designer canvas.
