Edit form from gallery without using the EditForm Control?

Hi there, is it possible to navigate to a page without using the Edit Form control?

I have a situation where I need my fields to be flexible and unfortunately the Edit Form control is quite constraining as to where I put my fields?

In other situations, I have used the patch function. Which has worked fine - but they have always been within a gallery. How do I have the same experience to go from a Gallery to another page (which patches the input for the particular record)

    Hi @Albertax ,

    Certainly possible, but a fair bit more work than a form. When you select from the gallery, set a Variable Set(gblRecord, This Item), then you can put the controls on the screen with the Default (or equivalent) values of gblRecord.YourFieldName.

    The rest is the Patch of each item to the data source when finished.

    Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

    Is their an easier way to set many variables in the example above?

    @Albertax .

    I am not sure what you mean. You are only setting one Variable (which is a Record). If you are asking about the Default settings of the controls, that is necessary if you are not using a Form (which takes care of that automatically).
