I don't see my team environments in Copilot Studios

Hi Guys,

I am a bit confused and I don't necessarily know what I did. I can't seem to see any of my colleagues environments. I can see them within Power Platform, but when I go to the copilot studios I don't see anything. Is it maybe a permissions problem?
I don't have the designated roles to see those environments within copilot studios?

    Hi
Can you provide us with what role you have currently?

Yes, this is most likely a permissions issue. In Power Platform, being able to see an environment does not automatically grant access to use it in Copilot Studio.

You need specific roles such as Environment Maker or higher to view and work with environments in Copilot Studio.

If you don’t have those roles, the environments will not appear.

You should request the appropriate permissions or verify with your admin if Copilot Studio is enabled for those environments.

@Vish WR Ya I have the System Administrator role. But now something strange is happening. Every time I open up Copilot Studio it keeps showing me this:
I'm not trying to apply it to a teams channel. So I don't necessarily know why it's giving me this.

You are opening Copilot Studio from inside Microsoft Teams. That version is specifically for creating Teams-bound agents, which is why it always asks you to select a team.
Just open it directly in your browser instead: https://copilotstudio.microsoft.com
That's the full web version and you won't see that prompt.

    Best regards,

    Valantis

@Valantis Ya, even when I type that link in a seperate browser such as google, firefox, or I open up a incognito window it still does not work. It's funny since I see the environments for a split second but then this window immediately pops up.

If it's happening even in a fresh browser at copilotstudio.microsoft.com, then it's not a Teams app issue. It's a licensing issue.

There are two versions of Copilot Studio. The free version called "Copilot Studio for Teams" is included in select Microsoft 365 subscriptions and only supports Teams-bound agents. That's the version that always shows the "Select a team" prompt. The full version requires a standalone Copilot Studio subscription.
You're hitting the Teams-only version because your account doesn't have a standalone Copilot Studio user license assigned. Having System Administrator role in the environment doesn't help here, it's about the M365 license.

check you or your admin in Microsoft 365 admin center > Users > your account > Licenses and verify if you have a Copilot Studio user license assigned. If not, that's the fix. If the tenant doesn't have the Copilot Studio subscription at all, it needs to be purchased first.

I am facing the same issue across my entire developer tenant, I have the Copilot Studio trail license assigned but Copilot Studio has stopped showing the environments, when I reload the page it shows up for a split second and then it goes away! Any suggestions?
