Modern Number Input has 2 borders

I created a number input and customized its border style, thickness, and color. However, it looks like there are two borders layered together. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Unfortunately, I don't think there's any setting or anything you can do to prevent this behaviour.
     
    There is a border around the section that surrounds the up/down control, and another border around the full control.
     
    At the normal zoom level, the presence of these 2 borders should be less noticeable.   
     
    If you want to round the corners of the control, there are combinations of radius and width settings that will close the gap between the 2 borders in the notable places around the corner.
     
    If you're looking for a fix, you can try raising a support ticket with Microsoft and see what their response is to this.
