Trigger a HTTP Request-flow from Outlook-email.

Hi!

From my Power App I will start a flow where one part is to send an email to a outlook-user. In that email i want a button or a link that when pressed, will trigger a HTTP Request-flow.

My issue is that I need to include a unique ID in that button/link to pass it to the HTTP Request-flow in order to know which tableID it should work with.

Any ideas?

Kind regards,

Anders

    Hi Again @Anders5

You can use the Response action to return a simple success test

The response action can be added after the trigger or at the end of the flow

    Hi again 🙂

One more question that popped into my head. As is now the user is directed to a complete white page. Is it possible to change that in some way? Like a simple "Success"-text?

You can send a Get Request with the ID in the URL ie. http://www.yoururl?ID=115

And configure the trigger to recieve GET instead of POST

    you retrive the data using

    triggerOutputs()?['queries/ID']

    Re: Trigger a HTTP Request-flow from Outlook-email.

    Hi!

Thank you for your time and suggestion. However I can't see that this will work for my last part of the problem, which is trigger the http request. I guess I need to send a POST to the generated link provided by the http request but I don't see the possibility to include a body with the value of the ID in it.

I might be way of in my thoughts but hey, if one don't ask one will not learn 🙂

    Hi! @Anders5

    try this add-dynamic-hyperlinks-in-emails-sent-by-microsoft-power-automate

I didn't try this my self but I think it can help you.

Let me know if it works or not

Forgott to mention, the reason I need to trigger a new flow is because of the 30 days limit for a flow to live!
