I have a power automate flow which is feeding a record into a CRM entity.
I want to have an incremental autonumber field that adds one each time a record is fed into the CRM entity.
Any ideas how to do this?
Thanks.
you can create an autonumber column, it will be automatically set every time a record is created

Thanks for the reply but this seems to be if I'm using a power app which I'm not.
I may not have explained what I'm doing fully.
What I am doing is I have a MS Forms front end and the user fills this form in. The form then feeds into a MS Power Automate cloud flow. The cloud flow then feeds into a CRM entity and creates the new record in CRM.
I'm looking to create an autonumber which increments by 1 that goes into a Number field in CRM.
Any ideas how to achieve this in this scenario?
Can you explain why the autonumber functionality (built-in inside power apps connected to a Dataverse like your "CRM entity") doesn't work for you?
I'm relatively new to this. where can I see and try the autonumber functionality (built-in inside power apps connected to a Dataverse like your "CRM entity") that you speak of?
the documentation link I shared before explain it, in particular the section "Create an autonumber column"
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/data-platform/autonumber-fields#create-an-autonumber-column
When I go into tables there is no table associated with my Flow it seems, even when I click on more no table for my Flow appears.
Hi,
could you please refer below article.
https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/article/create-auto-numbering-in-microsoft-dynamics-365-entities/
I am using Power Automate and this article is for Power Apps and not Power Automate. I am using Power Automate cloud flow to write to a CRM entity.
Go to the entity you are using in the crm create an autonumber field as mentioned in this article Autonumber
So next time when a new record is created from power automate an autonumber will be genrated.
Hope this helps
In the article you attach it shows the CRM entities in appearing in Power Apps but my CRM entities do not appear under Power Apps if you understand what I'm saying.
