Hello all,
I've been working on an app for a couple months now until 2 weeks ago with no problems whatsoever.
The app was created as a Tablet Canvas app 16:9 default size, Scale to fit enabled and lock aspect ratio also enabled. 2 weeks ago when I opened the app to edit I noticed all the controls on the app were anchored to the left. I moved them back to their place, saved, closed the app, re-opened and they were again anchored on the left.
I've opened an older app from a different team of developers that has been in production and working for over a year and the exact same thing happened to their app, everything was suddenly anchored to the left.
I checked the display settings again and this time i noticed both My app and the OLD app were no longer "Table" format but were "phone" format.
What also came from this is that now when the end users launch the apps they show on their browser extremely expanded and they have to reduce the zoom on their browser to 25% to be able to see the whole app.
Has this ever happened to any of you?
If so, is there any way around this that does not include having to RE-CREATE the whole thing?
Regards
I'm not sure why this is happening. This is not something that I have seen.
In answer to the question, how do I convert a phone app to a tablet app without having to recreate the original app, you can use the "Phone to Tablet Layout Converter" utility from here.
