PAD in non-default environment without premium?

Hi,

It appears you can use PAD in an environment other than your company's default environment. For example, this is taken from a serverlessnotes.com article:

1-environments

You can see in the top right this image shows "Environments DevOps-Dev". However, in my PAD it just says "Go premium". This suggests that only premium users can use PAD in non-default environments, right?

Also, shot in the dark, but if the user is Premium in Power Automate, is it also automatically premium in PAD?

Yes, PAD without a premium license is limited to the Default Environment. YOu can see that limitation in the documentation here:

Power Automate for desktop prerequisites & limitations - Power Automate | Microsoft Docs

There are two Power Automate premium licenses. One with RPA and one Without RPA. PAD premium is the Power Automate license with RPA.

I see, thanks for the confirmation.

Any rumors about relaxing this limitation down the line such that even non-premium users can use PAD in non-default environments?

I'm not aware of any rumors to that effect. I suspect that will continue to be a premium license requirement.
