Canvas app triggered Flows are not available in solutions.

Evening,

So I have just read that “Canvas app triggered Flows are not available in solutions.”

If I have an embedded canvas app with a triggered flow, what is the best way of packaging up these items and deploying them into new environments?

Thanks for your reply. So I have followed these steps and have the following issue.

    • I've deployed my Dynamics CE form from Development to UAT using a solution.
    • I've deployed my canvas app and flow using the export and import package functionality
    • I go to the form within my UAT environment and update the AppID to represent the new App I have just imported into my UAT environment.
    • I click "customise" to recreate the connection between Dynamics and the PowerApp and get the following error "Forbidden"

Any suggestions? This seems like a fairly standard enterprise deployment process

    Hi @Jhetheringt92 ,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

It is an known limit with Solution in PowerApps, Canvas app triggered Flows are not available in solutions. Please check the following article for more details about the limits in PowerApps Solution:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/common-data-service/use-solution-explorer#known-limitations

If you want to package your embedded canvas app with triggered flow, I afraid that PowerApps Solution could not achieve your needs.

As an alternative solution, I think the Import and Export functionality in PowerApps could achieve your needs. On your side, you could consider export the canvas app and related flow into a package file individually. Then go your New Environment, you could use the Import functionality to import the exported package files into the target environment.

More details about exporting or importing your apps/flows across Environments, please check the following blogs:

    https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/powerapps-packaging/

    https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/import-export-bap-packages/

    Best regards,
