no-reply is no longer working - showing not authorized error

Hi,

All of my flows are using the no-reply email to send on behalf of so all the flows don't come from me.  This morning, I started getting errors when someone else triggered the flow.  I remove the no-reply from the From field and tried to test/resubmit and it no longer lets me re-submit or test the flow.  Below is the message.  I'm wondering if all my flows are going to now break?

You are not authorized to send mail on behalf of the specified sending account. Email address to send mail from (requires "Send as" or "Send on behalf of" permission for that mailbox). For more info on granting permissions please refer https://docs.microsoft.com/office365/admin/manage/send-email-as-distribution-list.

Whether its a No-reply address or not you need to have permission for the mailbox to be able to send mail from it.  As the error message says that may be Send As or Send on Behalf of permission.  Both let you send mail.  Send as lets you impersonate the mailbox, which is what you want.  The main problem with using the From field is that anyone who uses the app will need that permission.  That's not a practical solution.

I've been doing it this way for years and was told my Microsoft to do it this way.  It used to be the permissions was for the owner of the flow only, everyone else who enters information into the list which triggers the flow has no issue until today.

If its an automated trigger for the flow then yes, only the author of the flow needs permission.  If its manually triggered by the app then everyone needs the permission.  If its an automated trigger it should still work.

This flow is triggered within Power Apps when the user clicks the submit button.  It then sends an email to the manager.  This was working yesterday.  I also noticed this flow will no longer let me re-submit or test.

Check the trigger being used by the flow.  If it uses a Power Apps trigger then it runs in the security context of the user who is running the Power App.  The only exception to that is when the flow is in a solution and the Run Only user setting has been changed to use a particular account.  That will run the flow in the security context of that account.  But that only applies to Security, not to licensing. But it should work in this context.

I would also double check to make sure that your permissions for the no-reply mailbox haven't changed.
