Environment:
- Power Automate Desktop version: 2.62.161.25297
- OS: Windows 11 Pro 24H2
- Installation type: MSI
- License: Premium
- PiP mode was previously enabled (PAD.ChildSession.Installer.Host.exe executed)
Issue:
- Before updating (v2.61 and earlier), I could enable Picture-in-Picture mode directly from the Debug menu in the flow designer.
- After updating to v2.62.161.25297, the same menu option is now greyed out and cannot be selected.
What I have tried:
- Re-executed PiP enable command (PAD.ChildSession.Installer.Host.exe)
- Restarted the PC
- Launched Power Automate Desktop as Administrator
- Verified sign-in status
Questions:
- Has the ability to enable PiP from the Debug menu been removed in v2.62?
- Or are there new conditions or settings required to use this feature?
- I noticed that the new UI allows running flows in PiP mode from the console or by enabling PiP in flow properties, but I specifically want to use PiP during debugging in the designer.
- The official documentation still mentions "Debug > Enable Picture-in-Picture mode," but in practice, it is not clickable. Is this a bug or an intentional change?
- If this feature has been deprecated, is downgrading to v2.61 the only way to restore it?
Any guidance or confirmation would be greatly appreciated.
