Hello,
Where do the Dataverse Audit Logs are saved and what are the capacity limitations, if there are any? I know how to retrieve them, I am just trying to figure out the best practices of selecting the proper retention policy.
Thank you
Hi @AhmedSalih ,
Dataverse audit logs are stored in the audit table. The default audit log retention period is 30 days. But you can change it based on the Client's requirement. To change the audit log retention period, follow the below steps:
1. Navigate to Power Platform admin center -> Select your environment -> Click on Settings
2. Click on Audit Settings under Audits and Logs
To learn more about the Audit log use this link.
Please accept it as solution and give thumbs up, if it is helpful for you.
@ArchitectMadhan , is the audit table saved within the same Dataverse instance?
Actually it's a good question, now Microsoft has announced a new feature. According to that, Audit data is now also stored in a separate physical log storage so an organization’s audit log can grow to many terabytes in size without limiting available physical database storage.
Hope you got the answer for your queries regarding the Audit Log.
Please click the "Accept as Solution", If the information is helpful for you. So that others can find it easily.
