Modern Date Picker not resetting

Hi, is anyone experiencing this,

In power apps, a simple expression like Reset(DatePicker), would normally reset a modern date picker control until yesterday (03-16-2026).

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

    Hey,

    try doing this instead:

    Set the default date to varDate

    and then update the varDate variable to Blank() or Today(), and then reset the date control and see if that works for you.

    Likely a time zone/DateTimeZone mismatch. Reset(DatePicker) resets the control to its DefaultDate

    if the picker is showing UTC while your DefaultDate is evaluated as Local (or vice versa), the displayed date can shift to “yesterday.”

    try this fix:

    1. Set an explicit default:
    • Select your modern Date picker
    • DefaultDate = Today()
    1. Force local time in the control:
    • DateTimeZone = DateTimeZone.Local
    1. If you recently updated modern controls, recheck this because the DateTimeZone property behavior was fixed/respected in recent updates. If an “Update” banner appears on the control, apply it and retest.
    2. If the picker is bound to data, make sure your data source’s date behavior matches the control. A UTC “midnight” value displayed as Local can appear as the previous day.

    Validate

    • Add a button with OnSelect: Reset(DatePicker1)
    • Add a label to inspect what the control is producing: Text = Text(DatePicker1.SelectedDate, "yyyy-mm-dd") & " | TZ offset (min): " & TimeZoneOffset()
    • After clicking Reset, the label should show today’s date; the offset helps confirm time zone effects.

    Best regards,

    Valantis

    Thank you both for the help. I am just going to use the classic date pickers for now

    I've encountered the same issue and neither of these solutions help.

    I have a DatePicker that has the Default Date set to variable which is currently blank, the control however doesn't reset to blank and it keeps showing the date that was previously selected. The issue persists even when I set the Default Date to Blank() or remove the formula completely.

    Yes, several users have reported issues with modern Date Picker controls recently. If Reset(DatePicker) was working previously and stopped around 03/16/2026 without any app changes, it may be related to a recent Power Apps update. As a workaround, try testing with a classic Date Picker control or resetting the control by updating its bound value. It would also be worth checking the latest Power Apps release notes and opening a support ticket if the issue persists.

    Can you try resetting whole form ?

    ResetForm(FormName), if works then we can check the Date for the same
