Dataverse as knowledge source - Hide columns

Posted on by 82
Hi everyone,

I'm working on building a Custom copilot in Copilot Studio. I have an action to create generative answer which is tied to a Dataverse table. I want to limit which column the chatbot has access to when using Dataverse as a knowledge source for generative answers. How would I able to achieve my goal?

Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

currently there is no way we can restrict access of Copilot to certain columns of your Dataverse table. If you upload your Dataverse tables, all of it's columns are taken into account. Although you can try changing the description of these columns to "Please ignore this column." in the edit section of the Dataverse tables as knowledge source.

The columns I need to hide are Created By and Owner.
