Copilot Studio Agent - Authentication

In Copilot Studio, one of my agents had its Authentication setting unexpectedly change from "No Authentication" to "Authenticate with Microsoft," and I am unable to change it back.

The agent is deployed using the "Default Web Chat Embed Code," which is only available when "No Authentication" is selected, so the production channel is now broken with this error:

"Sorry, something unexpected happened. We're looking into it. Error code: IntegratedAuthenticationNotSupportedInChannel."

Since:

the authentication mode changed unexpectedly,

you cannot revert it,

and the production web channel is now unavailable,

this is likely either a platform issue or an environment configuration problem.

I recommend opening a Microsoft Support ticket and including:

The agent ID and environment ID.

The approximate date/time when the authentication setting changed.

Confirmation that the agent previously worked with the Default Web Chat Embed Code.

The error:

IntegratedAuthenticationNotSupportedInChannel

This will allow Microsoft to determine whether the authentication mode was changed by a recent platform update, a policy, or an underlying service issue, and whether it can be restored.

Thanks.

After additional troubleshooting, we found out that the bot has been shared in the Teams channels that required authentication with Microsoft. As soon as, we disable the connect we were able to change the authentication back to "No Authentication".
