If you're trying to connect a Connected Agent (formerly called an agent-to-agent or multi-agent setup) in Microsoft Copilot Studio and receiving a message such
as:
The Helpdesk agent cannot be connected
there are several common causes to check.
The connected agent is not published.
The agents are in different environments.
Permission issues prevent access to the target agent.
The target agent contains configuration or publishing errors.
A Copilot Studio platform limitation or tenant-specific issue is preventing agent provisioning.
I would start by creating a simple test agent in the same environment and attempting to connect it. If that works, the issue is isolated to the Helpdesk agent
configuration; if it fails, focus on environment, permissions, or platform-level troubleshooting.
