Copilot Studio File updloads not recognized anymore

Hello,
across all our Agents, Files Uploaded (PDF,Word,....) are not working anymore.
 
It does not matter which file i Upload. Nothing is working. (The language detection is done with AI Builder - this is working fine)
 
However the Document analysis is not working at all. It does not matter if its Test Chat or Teams.
 
I am useing GPT 5 Chat which worked fine last week.

    The most likely explanation is a platform-side issue affecting document analysis/knowledge ingestion services rather than an issue with your individual agents or
     
    uploaded files.
     
    I would recommend:
    • Testing a brand-new agent with a simple PDF.
    • Checking whether document analysis fails in a different environment.
    • Reviewing any recent service health advisories.
    • Opening a Microsoft Support ticket and providing:
      • Environment ID
      • Agent name(s)
      • Approximate date when the issue started
      • Sample file used for testing
      • Correlation IDs (if available)
    If multiple environments show the same behavior, this would strongly support a Microsoft-side service regression rather than a configuration issue.

    One confirmed thing that might explain part of this: DOCX, XLSX, and CSV files are confirmed NOT supported for direct chat file analysis in Copilot Studio. Only PDF uploads are analyzed successfully. This is a confirmed platform limitation, not a regression.

    If Word files stopped working, they were likely never actually supported for direct chat upload analysis in the first place.

    If PDF also stopped working recently, that is new and points to a service issue. Check admin.microsoft.com > Health > Service health for any active Power Platform incidents.

    Also try switching one agent from GPT-5 Chat to GPT-4.1 and test PDF upload. If PDF works on GPT-4.1 but not GPT-5 Chat, the model update is the cause and you should raise a Microsoft support ticket referencing the model change.

    Seems like its a temporary service outages or degradation in the document analysis or AI Builder document processing services. Probably changes or updates in the GPT-5 Chat or Copilot Studio backend affecting document ingestion or parsing. 
     

    If it is not service realted issue, as Valatis suggested - please try switching one agent from GPT-5 Chat to GPT-4.1 and test PDF upload to narrow down the issue.

    Hi,
     
    Even I am facing the same issue. What I have obserevd is that documents with 3 pages are accepted well but once its becomes more than 15 pages its not working. Is anyone facing similar issue?

    Good news is it is resovled but the question is if you face the same issue tomorrow magically?
     
    As I suggested earlier -  its a temporary service outages or degradation in the document analysis or AI Builder document processing services. Also, did you try to degrading GPT version from  GPT-5 Chat to GPT-4.1?
     
    I would rather suggest to look into admin.microsoft.com > Health > Service health, to make sure we have spotted the issue.
