New SharePoint Column Not Visible in Flow

Hi. I'm creating a Flow which takes the responses from a Form, stores them in a SharePoint list and then posts a message to Teams, sends an e-mail etc. I have recently added a new question to my Form and in turn have added a new column to my SharePoint list to store the answers to that new question.

My issue is that when I return to the 'Create Item' SharePoint step in my Flow, the new column does not appear. I have tried everything to resolve this including trying all options in the 'Limit Columns by View' drop down.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The problem is that its using a cached copy of the connection to the list. There is no easy way to update the connection to pick up the new column.  The best approach is to create an entirely new connection to the list and use that with a new Create Item action in the flow. That usually will pick up the new schema and the new column.

    Hi @Chris535 ,

Yep, it happened to me few time, the only solution I found on my end was to recreate the action in the flow.

Before scrapping the existing one, can you add a new "create an item" action and see if your new field is present ?

Thanks both. Even when I create a brand new Flow from scratch, when I select this List, I only see the original version of the list without the new column.

You need to make sure you manually create a new connection to the list. The old connection will automatically be used if you don't specifically create a new one.

Thanks. I've included a screenshot below, you can see this item now has three connections. Regardless of which connection I pick, the new column does not show. I have create a new Flow using new connections and have the same issue.

    1) Delete the old Create Item and the old connection.

    2) Then add the new Create Item and create a brand new connection.

    3) if that still doesn't work you may need to wait overnight for the connection cache to reset.

I wish there was a way to refresh the connection the way there is in Power Apps, but there isn't.  This is the only option.
