Sending email fails

hi

I've a document library. The document library has many attributes including a person name.

So I wish to send email to that person. My flow fails because I'm put as action to send email to the person and not to email. How can I retrieve person email? The person exists in active directory.

    Hi @Anonymous

What is the data type of the person name attribute? You can get the email address only if it is a Person type field. If it is a text field you cannot retrieve the email from the directory as the search cannot be performed just with name of the person (as it is not a unique identifier)

    Hope this Helps!

    Hi @Anonymous,

@yashag2255 is correct, if you want to extract Email from the Active Directory, you should pass UPI not person name.

If the person column is a person column you could choose these email directly in the dynamic content list:

As rightly mentioned, the problem was that I was passing the name of the person and not the email.

    So now it's fixed.
