Save an Email to a document Library via Power Automate

Hi Team,

I have created a shared mailbox and provided necessary permissions. I wanted to save email received to this shared mailbox in a sharepoint document library in .msg format. Is this possible?

Thanks,
Ram

Thanks. This worked for me. I wanted to try the scenario mentioned below:

I wanted to save an email in .MSG format and respective attachment on the email to a document library. Is this possible?

    Regards,
    Ram

When saving to a document library each entry is a single file.  So you can save the message as a .msg, but then there is no where to attach the attachments.  You can save them in the same library, but there won't be a connection to the .msg unless you add something to the metadata.  You could save them as attachments to a list item, but the .msg would also have to be saved as an attachment.

Thank you for your email. I have completed the requirements. This is working great on my end.

I get an error message when trying to open the message that was saved. Any idea?

Double check that you added the .msg extension when you saved the email.

The problem occurs when opening the .msg file on the desktop, not when opening it in the browser.
If I change the file extension to .EML than it works both in the desktop and in the browser.
The official documentation states that a .EML file is generated, so I probably best to save is as a .EML file, not .msg.

Is there a possibility to save a hyperlink to the original e-mail message from the shared mailbox?
Then no need to copy the mail and waste space.

Hello, the above works but I get a blank email. Any ideas?
