which method to show "created by" from a sharepoint list?

Hello!

I like to add the information "created by" from a sharepoint-list to a custom form.

Of course, I can add the field directly from the list, but then I have design issues in the form.

Therefore I need e.g. a textfield which is formated with the code of getting back the "reated by" information, if item must be changed.

Thank you very much!

Tobias

    HI @Tobias6
    Did you try setting text value to ThisItem.'Created By'.DisplayName?

    Hi @zeg ,

    thanks for your fast response!

    But this only works, if the label is in a DataCard.

    If I use the label only, I get error messages.

    Thank you

    I see.
    Please try BrowseGallery1.Selected.'Created By'.DisplayName
    Where "BrowseGallery1.Selected" is the same as the one set in Item in your Form

    Sorry, I didn't get it @zeg .

    "Where "BrowseGallery1.Selected" is the same as the one set in Item in your Form" is not clear to me.

    The reference is a sharepoint list. "BrowseGallery1"is unknown

    My bad.
    I was thinking you are working on a form refering to a gallery with data from SharePoint.
    The "custom form" is pointing to an item in SharePoint right?
    My point is to get 'Created By" info from that item.

    @zeg no problem.

    Yes, the "custom form" is pointing to an item in SharePoint list.

    Only how to get it from there

    @Tobias6

    I am guessing "custom form" 's DataSource property is the sharepoint list
    Please check the value of Item property value

    @Tobias6
    Please go to "Erweitert" then copy the value in "Artikel" .
    So we'll use something like If(IsBlank(SharePointIntegration.Selected) || IsEmpty(SharePointIntegration.Selected),First([@MyDowntime2]),SharePointIntegration.Selected).'Created By"'.DisplayName
