Approval to copy selected field data from MSForm to MSList to trigger e-mail prompt

This one is beginning to annoy me, as I imagine the solution is easy, but I am struggling to build the approval element (i.e. not providing me with expected Parameters to select from in Approval step).

Process plan:

MS Form completed

Approval request sent to individual

Approval provided by individual

Selected fields from form added to MS List

Outlook to group, advising of new data - this element currently set as separate flow

At the point of frustration where I am happy to accept somebody providing me with instruction on what steps to follow, especially if they already have a similar flow built. 🙂

Help!

    Hey,

use the "When a new response is submitted" trigger and point it to the right MS Form.

Then use the "Get response details" action using the "Response Id" dynamic value from the trigger.

Then use the "Start and wait for an approval" action to send out an approval. This sends the approval via teams and mail.

The flow will then wait until the person you put into the "Assigned to" field has approved the requests.

Use the "Condition" action with "Approval Outcome" is equal to Approve.

In the "If yes" section, simply use the "Create item" action and point it towards your MS List.

You'll have all the values from the MS Form under Dynamic Values.

let us know if it works,

    cheers

    That worked perfectly, thank-you.

Realised as soon as I saw your example, what I was doing wrong - had added an extra stage that wasn't needed. 🙂
