Hi!

Is there a way to create a workflow for microsoft teams (across the organization) if anyone is trying to create a new team or channel that a special e mail address has to approve the creation?

Best regards

    Hi @Anonymous ,

The triggers currently supported by MS Flow are as follows:

They don't have the ability to monitor whether someone is trying to create a new team or channel, and I'm afraid we cannot do that at the moment.

If you want a similar trigger to be supported by MS Flow, please consider posting this idea in Flow Ideas forum, so it might be considered for future releases.

Also for the approval of creating a channel, you could consider using the following method.

    • Use a SharePoint list to record the request to create a channel.
    • When someone wants to create a new channel, they need to create an item in the SharePoint list first, record Team ID, channel name, description.
    • You could create a column in the list to execute Approver, type For the person.
    • Because Teams ID needs to be obtained from the List team action, variables are used to store the Teams ID and Teams Name.
    • Then create an approval and wait for the approval to complete before executing Create a channel action.

    Please take a try.
