Assistance with Selecting a drop down list value on web page using contains

Hello,

In the below picture, I have a list of values found in a list box on a website.  I need to be able to select one of the values based on a "contains" logic because the date changes in the filename each week.  Ideally, I want to select a file that contains:  "D31065.EIN"

I am trying to use the, Set drop-down list value on web page; however, in the Option name dialogue box, I do not know what to enter that would offer a like or contains logic.  I tried a wildcard asterisk before the D31065, but that didn't work.  Any help would be appreciated.

Is it always the top file that you want?  I ask because, if so, you could find the element for "Available Files:" and then use that as a reference point to offset click X number of pixels down from that.

I can't always guarantee that it will be the top file.  Essentially what happens is we need to execute a process that selects the first file based on the string in the filename, and once that process is done, it will process the next file based on a different string.

We have the whole process running, except for the filename selection part.

Are you able to get the selector to select anything inside the box?  If it can pick up anything of the filenames inside the box, we can take a look at the selector and see what we can change dynamically to make it work.

I can get it to select if I put in the full name, see below.

Do you know what the full document name is?  You sad you know what the D...EIN is, but does it always start with the same thing, like if we were able to put: PEDT.XWRP1680-%Date_mmddyyyy%.D31065.EIN

    would that work?

It does always start the same.  So the only part that would change is from the -, as in your example above.

I tried to enter that and I get an error.  See below.

Right, you have to define a date variable.  So, is there any way to know with certain logic, that the date is 9/20/21, before you start?  Such as "the 20th day of the previous quarter-end"...something like that?

Ah, it would honestly be "today's date" because it would run on a schedule with the filename having only today's date (being the date it was processed, not actually today 2/11).

    Making it too easy:

Get Current Date and Time to %CurrentDateTime%

Convert datetime %CurrentDateTime% to text custom format MMddyyyy and save the variable as %TODA_mmddyyyy%

Make sure the m's are capital M's in the custom format.  little m stands for minutes, capital Ms stand for month.
