Getting 'set content approval status' to work

(0) ShareShare

I am experimenting with trying to get 'Set content approval status' to work.

There seems to be no effect with my flow. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

My goal in this flow is simply: once user picks a file and runs the flow, the Content Approval Status should be changed to 'Submit'. User gets an email to notify that the job is done.

But it has not happened;my flow runs successfully but the Approval Status of the file is still 'pending'.

I suspect there's some problem with putting in the right File ID, IDs, etc.

Full flow details below-

Any help is much appreciated!

John

    Hi @Anonymous ,

I think you may be a bit misunderstood about the three Actions of Set content approval status.

There are only three kinds of approval status in SharePoint, Pending/Approved/Rejected/, which corresponds to Submit/Approve/Reject in Set content approval status.

So if you choose Submit, it should display Pending and not Submit.

For the approval of items in a site list or library, please refer to link:

    Hi there,

Thanks for replying. The field is a drop-down wherein I can select only 3 options. See screenshot below:

Hope this helps you have another insight that might help me.

    Many thanks.
