Inserting data from power bi into an oracle database via power automate without gateway

Hello,

I want to insert data into an Oracle database by clicking a button that will call a Power Automate flow. Due to several restrictions in my organization, the gateway is not feasible for me. Therefore, I would like to know if there is a way to connect directly to the database without using a gateway to save my data or to call an R script that will insert the data. Can you help me, please?

    Hi @GutsChei

I am going to have to say no, but mostly because I have no idea where your Oracle database is because you didn't tell us.

The gateway is ONLY needed if you have a Firewall in the way. If you don't have a firewall, or you open the ports, or insert DMZ work, then you don't.

    Otherwise you do.

If I have helped you, I would really appreciate if you please Mark my answer as Resolved/Answered, and give it a thumbs up, so it can help others

    Cheers

Thank you very much, my database is on a dedicated server which I access via sql developper with my login and password + custom JDBC (which contains the port, server address and database name). I put informations like this:
