ISSUE:
The input field for the 'Set variable' action does not allow multi-line input nor carriage returns, whether entered or pasted in.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE:
Try both entering multi-line content and pasting it in to the 'Set variable' action input field.
WORKAROUND 1:
Read in the contents of a variable from a file. This workaround is cumbersome.
WORKAROUND 2:
Use 'Display input dialog' and set to 'multiline'. Rename output variable as required. Non-cumbersome workaround.

SUGGESTED RESOLUTION:
It appears to me that setting the properties of the 'Set variable' input field to allow multi-line input and carriage returns and recompiling the application would solve this. A larger input field would be desirable. Using 'Display input dialog' and setting to 'multiline' appears an adequate workaround, however.
