Is there a way to have a gallery work like a 2 dimensional excel time table?

hi Guys,

I would like to have a power app mimic the experience of a 2D excel time table where one axis is date and another axis is activity, where data source is SharePoint list. I have build a nested gallery with parent gallery to navigate the calendar date and inside gallery to list down the activities within that day. It functioning similarly as excel time table.

However there is still a difference between this app and the excel version which is, in excel, all the activity of same type will appear in a straight line, but in my apps, the inner gallery does not do that alignment, it just pile up whatever activity appears in that day cause there is no record for an activity does not exist so no blank space is reserved.

Any idea how can i make the app achieve that feature?

okay, i figured it out, by creating a collection of one item for one work per day, no duplication, then do nested gallery. it will work as expected.

Could you please share some more details about your solution? I had the same challenge, but I think that I've solved it not in the best way.

I have created two collections: One with all possible dates and one with all persons. The inner gallery is using a scoped lookup to find the correct status for each position (see screenshot).
