Default setting on one data card not pulling in referred to data card location

I have the need to perform a search function on one data card and have that result post in another screen's data card.

The location of this is Body4

I need the result from searching the last name in Body4 to be the default for the next screen as seen below:

Currently it only works for the top result.  It does not work for any searched items on the first screen.

Thanks for your help!

@Anonymous What control is this Body4?

Body4 is the data card on the first gallery.  It holds the ContactID number that I am trying to make fill in the second data card.

    Does that answer your question?

@Anonymous If ContactID is a Textinput or Label, you can get this value into the Textinput in the second  data card by setting the default property of this Textinput to ContactID .Text

Thank you.  I did that and it's not pulling in.  Safe to assume it being numbers won't impact it but I'm really at a loss as to why this isn't simply working

I take that back.  It does work as before but it will only pull in the first "top" result in the searchable list.  When you do a search on a name further down the list, it doesn't pick up the new ContactID associated with that name.  Same location but it comes over as a blank

@Anonymous As I understand ContactID is a Textinput which will have only one value in it. So I don't understand what you mean by, "top" result.

A full screen shot with all the controls would be helpful to solve this quickly!

    Thank you for helping.

There is a list of hundreds that I need to allow the user to search.  So, when I do the search, the Contact ID "63, 64, etc" will come back when I search the last name.  That is the ContactID in the TextInput of ContactID data card.  I then need that ContactID to be in the next screen.  In this example, it does pull in "63" but if I search the next name and that's the only item on the screen, it comes back blank.

    Does that help?

@Anonymous From what I can see, it looks like you have a gallery in Screen1. What is the name of the gallery and the name of the control where numbers such as "63, 64" etc., are displayed?

Can you also show me the exact formula you have in the ContactID Textinput in Screen2.

    You bet.

The gallery is named Search A Meeting and is populated by a SQL Table - LifeSales.AppContacts

Screen 2 is an input screen tied to a SQL table - LifeSalesMeetings
