Create planner tasks for flagged emails in office 365

Hey all,

Happy new year

Hope someone can assist,

I created the flow "Create planner tasks for flagged emails in office 365", but when an email is flagged, I only get a task created in Planner, but no title, link to the email or anything else that shows what is in the email. Seems like only a task is created - Anyways to get the emails information into Planner?

Overall objective is to get to-do's/important emails directly from Outlook to planner, currently using flagged as my to-do list, and the thought above approach would be the best approach, but open to other suggestions if there are better ways of getting emails into planner:)

Best

J

    Hi @Jayks7 ,

There's an action in Planner that might help you.

I recommend that you add "Update task details" after "Create a task". With this you can add a description of the task, insert links and attachments. You can also select certain dynamic content of the email to be inserted into the task.

There is a post about the action for your reference: Power Automate: Planner - Update task details Action - Manuel T. Gomes (manueltgomes.com)

Please reply to me If you have questions about using this action.

    Best regards,

    Rimmon

If possible could you assist me with the following

    - Task ID, how do I find the task ID from "Create a Task"?

    - Where do I find the other things you are refering to such as attachments, content and the likes

Once again, thank you for the swift reply

    Best

    Hi @Jayks7 ,

    Glad to hear from you.

We can get task Id from dynamic content, and we should use "Update task details" not "Update a task" if we want to upload attachments.

For more information on how to use this, you can refer to the link in my first reply.

Thx again for swift reply - I changed it, but I don't have the option for "Dynamic content" and all the manuels seems different from what my interface look like, is this because I am using a different version?

Do you know how I can get "Dynamic content?

Appreciate all the answers, still having some issues with it, but sure it is I am doing something wrong. Will keep it as an unresolved, until I have finalized it, so I make sure I can get more help from you. Just so I can keep track of it.

    Appreciated your help

    Best

Perhaps this pre-made flow is exactly what you need? You might just have to make a few small tweaks to get the extra information over that you require?
