How can I create a Flow to set up ongoing import or export, from Excel to the Entity?

Hi Vasco,

I assume that we could export entity to Excel but it seems that currently we are not able to import data from Excel to entity.

To export entity from an entity to Excel, you may consider using the trigger “When a record is created”.

Then use the action “Excel – Insert row”. You should have an Excel table placed on OneDrive or other cloud storage account.

The flow could be configured likes below. Then when a new record is created in entity, it will be also created in Excel.

Please try if this will meet your needs.

About ongoing import from Excel to entity, please consider creating a request at Flow ideas Forum. I will help collect and report it on my side.

Thanks, Mabel.
About the import flow from excel to Entity, I have an Excel file that is connected to Microsoft Access Table, where every new or update records are refreshed in the worksheet.
I update the Entity manually with the Import Data button on Common Date Service.
It would be more easier to have a flow that automate the process, using for instance a Schedule - Recurrence.

Hi Vasco,

Thanks for clarification. Currently there is no trigger for the Excel connector, if you could consider using trigger Recurrence, you could use the action “Excel – Get rows”, then use the action “Common Data Service – Create a new record”.

Hi Mabel,

I'm trying the sample flow below but I think is missing something. How do I fill the values on the fields in CDS action ?
I think this flow works fine for new records, but it doesn't update records.
Anyway, I hope sooner appear a flow that imports the data from Excel to an Entity.
