Hi,
I've added SharePoint list as virtual table. It created a mandatory empty Title field which looks like acting as primary key within DataVerse table. I'm wondering if it possible to do something with it to not show it on the main form.
Thanks,
When you say "main form" are you referring to the Dataverse column in the Dataverse table view?
If that's the case, then you can click the dropdown arrow on the column and click "hide".If that's not the case, can you provide me a screenshot or more information so I can try to help further?
I was referring to the main form of the table. I will have to hide it from the views too. Thank you very much for the advice. The problem being that since it is mandatory the value has to be provided. I would like also to understand why it is even present. The guesses are that it "came" from SharePoint or was created automatically in DataVerse.
Thanks.
Dataverse creates that field as a unique key field. This column is created in every single Dataverse table...it doesn't matter that you created it with a virtual table. When a new record is created, it automatically creates the GUID for you. You actually don't need to show/update/create anything related to that column.
If you'd like an easier key to show your users, you can create an Alternate-Key field that shows a much more readable value.Hope that helps.
Thank you very much for the details. It explains the field's nature and purpose.
