Suddenly entire Screen broken - Invalid use of "."

I left last night and my App was working perfectly in Preview mode. Arrived this morning with 47 errors with most of them being invalid use of "."

For example the code is:

CurrentUserType="Admin"&& MaDSProj_Filter.SelectedText.Value = "Filter by Change Request"
PowerApps is requesting that I remove the .SelectedText.Value in order to make the formula correct.

ColorFade(MaDS_ProjStageFilterDropDown.BorderColor, 15%)
PowerApps is stating that "ColorFade has some invalid arguments". It is the same command that works on every other screen and that worked yesterday when I left the office.

This is not the first time that this has happened. I am hoping not to restore from yesterday morning and recreating the code because, of course, there is no way to print or view the code easily in PowerApps along with all of the setting associated with each variable, label or gallery.

My build is PowerApps release 3.19081.26

since all the erros are related to that dropdown - has that dropdown been accidently deleted or has something on the datasource related to that dropdown changed?

No changes to the form or to the datasource. Just 48 red x's (Errors). The majority of them are on DropDown items, but on properties like PressedBorderColor, HoverBorderColor, or the Visible property.

I think in the past, I have deleted the DropDown and just rebuilt it throughout the app. I'm hoping to find a root cause so that I can avoid it in the future. Especially as we start incorporating PowerApps more into our business operations.

Hi @Anonymous

check to see if the dropdonw with that name exists
you can use the search option on the left side panel to check
if it does not or if there is one that already exists - rename it to match the name being used in formulas

Hi @RezaDorrani ,

Thanks for your assistance. I followed your advice and verified that the name existed. Everywhere that the names were referenced, it was throwing the errors.

It looked like somehow there were three dropdown list that somehow went haywire. My solution was to copy dropdown list and then substitute the new variable name into all the formulas where they were called (fortunately all on the same screen). I then deleted the original variable.

Back to zero errors.
