Enquiry on Requestor Name via Microsoft Forms

Hi All,

I'm trying to create ticketing system for the organisation ( within organisation)

Instead of asking the staff to enter their email address in the Microsoft Forms, is there a way to retrieve the Requestor name and search via outlook feature get contacts (global address list)
- to send an email to the Requestor to acknowledge the request is submitted successfully
- to insert the field (Requestor email ) in the ticketing system.

Thank You

    To achieve this, you can automate the process using Microsoft Power Automate and in that you can get requestor email, here is how
    1. Trigger - Use "When a new response is submitted" from Microsoft Forms.
    2. Get Form Details - Add "Get response details" to capture the form details.
    3. Retrieve Requestor's Email from Global Address List - Use "Search for users (V2)" from the Office 365 Users connector.
    {
      "inputs": {
        "method": "GET",
        "uri": "https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/users?$filter=startswith(displayName, 'RequestorName')&$select=mail",
        "headers": {
          "Authorization": "Bearer @{outputs('Get_Access_Token')}"
        }
      },
      "runAfter": {},
      "metadata": {
        "operationMetadataId": "SearchForUsers"
      }
    }
    Note - Replace RequestorName with the actual form response value for the Requestor's name
    4. Send Acknowledgment Email - Use "Send an email (V2)" from the Outlook connector.
    5. Insert Requestor’s Email in Ticketing System - Use connectors like "Create item" (for SharePoint) or "Add a new row" (for Dataverse).

    Out of interest, is this an anonymous form or do they need the logon?

    In case of the latter you should see the email in the response of the trigger action. No, additional actions would be needed to look this up.

    Or are you asking the requestor name because you want to also support delegation?
