"When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox (V2)" trigger gets triggered on the previous emails since the flow was turned off

Hi,

I have created a flow that will be triggered on a new email arrives in a shared mailbox. I'm using the "When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox (V2)" trigger in my flow.

I temporary turn off my flow for 2 weeks and when i turn on yesterday it was triggered on the emails which arrives in the shared mailbox since I turn off. Is this new feature? Is it expected behaviour? If I remember correctly, it wasn't the same behaviour when I turn off last year.

Does anyone know how can I turn it on without getting triggered on the previous emails?

    Hi @mugilan ,

It is expected behavior. The trigger you are using is a polling trigger, a polling trigger periodically makes a call to your service to look for new data. When the flow is turned on again, all unprocessed/pending events are processed. Delete, and then recreate your flow if you don't want to process pending items when you turn your flow back on.

In addition, you could try to temporarily disable the trigger instead of recreate your flow.

    Hi @v-yujincui-msft (Charlie),

Thank you very much for the clarification. I guess going forward I know what to inform the users when we turn off temporary.

    Thank  you again.
